Experienced Hire: Analyst / Associate

This is a unique opportunity for anyone looking to combine an interest in business with a desire to support an important mission. As a member of the Investment Team, you will be actively involved in all aspects of the investment process and have broad exposure to a range of asset classes. You will engage in broad, abstract investment discussions, as well as dig deep into individual aspects of a manager’s investment strategy and organization. Junior team members often work directly with the CIO and other senior staff on projects ranging from the selection of external investment specialists to the setting of policy and strategy. You will conduct due diligence on current and prospective investment managers, build models to aid in decision-making, and monitor portfolio performance and exposures. Due diligence projects typically involve a deep dive into the investment manager’s portfolio, visiting portfolio companies across multiple industries and geographies, conducting reference calls and meetings with CEOs, and assessing the investment manager’s motivations and intentions. Examples of past Analyst and Associate projects include analyzing co-investment opportunities in tech companies, researching the carbon credit market, and advising funds on their diversity and inclusion efforts.

Princo values continued learning and development. All new team members are given meaningful responsibilities from the first day onward and learn investment and business principles both on the job and through extensive training sessions. Analysts and Associates are further supported by formal and informal mentoring. Princo invests heavily in professional development opportunities, both firm-wide and tailored to individuals. Additionally, Princo sponsors all investment staff members for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program.

The ideal candidate will have one to six years of experience and have:

  • intellectual curiosity and a passion for learning
  • strong analytical and communication skills
  • the ability to work effectively on a team

Prior investing experience is not required.
