Mike Tames

Mike joined Princo in September 2025. Prior to Princo, Mike was a Partner with PwC New York in their International Tax Practice where he focused on tax issues relating to investing and investment products. Prior to PwC, Mike served as the Head of Global Tax for the Abu Dhabi Investment Council (ADIC) in the UAE for nearly seven years. In this role, he was ultimately responsible for all tax related matters for ADIC including its diversified global investment portfolio, and was a member of the investment Due Diligence Committee. Mike began his career in the tax consulting practice of PwC in Auckland, New Zealand, and then in New York, focusing on clients in the financial services and asset management sectors.  

Mike holds a conjoint Law Degree (LLB) and Management Studies Degree (BMS) with First Class Honors in Accounting and Finance from the University of Waikato. He also holds a Masters of Law (LLM) in Taxation from NYU. Mike is a CPA in New York, a Chartered Accountant in New Zealand, and is admitted as a Barrister & Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand.
