As a Summer Analyst, you will be given meaningful responsibilities from day one. You will have the opportunity to learn about investing and to actively engage in discussions and decision-making. Summer Analysts often work directly with the Chief Investment Officer and other senior staff on due diligence of current and prospective investment managers. Due diligence projects typically involve researching and visiting investment firms and portfolio companies across multiple industries and geographies, conducting reference calls and meetings with CEOs, building models to aid in investment decision-making, and assessing the investment manager’s motivations and intentions. Examples of past Summer Analyst projects include meeting with venture capital firms and startups in San Francisco, conducting due diligence at an amusement park in Barcelona, and analyzing co-investment opportunities.
Princo values continued learning and development. Summer Analysts learn investment and business principles both on the job and through extensive training sessions. Summer Analysts are further supported by formal and informal mentoring. Princo invests heavily in professional development opportunities, both firm-wide and tailored to individuals. Additionally, Princo sponsors all investment staff for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program.
The Princo Summer Analyst Program serves as the primary source for full-time Analyst hires. For those who succeed in our Analyst program, we sponsor an 8–10-week externship in your third year at one of our investment managers or portfolio companies. Princo provides advice and application assistance to those who wish to pursue graduate school subsequent to the Analyst role.
The ideal candidate will be a junior and have:

- the ability to work effectively on a team
We believe a diverse team promotes better decision-making. Our Summer Analysts have come from a wide range of identities and academic backgrounds, including computer science, East Asian studies, economics, English, history, art and archeology, biology, and mechanical and aerospace engineering.

Application Process
We are no longer accepting applications for the 2024 Investment Summer Analyst Program. We will begin accepting applications for the 2025 program in spring 2024 with a deadline in July.

- And an official or unofficial up-to-date transcript.
If invited to interview, applicants will be asked to provide a writing sample (3-5 pages on any topic) and reference list, and to complete two short analytical exercises for which no prior finance knowledge is required.
